Combating Desertification
With 76.9% of Mongolia’s territory affected by desertification, primarily in the Gobi region, Moncement has actively participated in combating this issue. Over the past four years, we have increased the number of trees in Dornogobi province by 70%, planting 265,000 trees across 73.4 hectares.
Kindergarten Project
The “National Tree Planting Day” and the “Green Dornogobi” initiative, supported by the President of Mongolia and the Dornogobi provincial government, saw active participation from Moncement. We received a Certificate of Recognition for our efforts in the “Green Dornogobi-2021” contest.
To commemorate our 6th anniversary, we initiated a kindergarten construction project. Kindergartens are crucial for early education, yet many children in Mongolia lack access. This initiative aims to improve educational opportunities and support economic progress. We pledge MNT 60 from every sale of a 50 kg cement bag towards this cause, enhancing kindergarten accessibility and creating a nurturing environment for children.
New Locomotive
In June 2021, Moncement welcomed a new TEM 18DM locomotive, addressing Mongolia's transportation and logistics challenges. This addition improves product delivery efficiency and creates job opportunities.
Laboratory Accreditations
Both the Moncement Urgon Plant Laboratory and the Ulaanbaatar Processing Plant Laboratory received accreditation under the updated MNS ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standard. The Urgon Plant laboratory’s accreditation is valid for four years, while the Ulaanbaatar Processing Plant laboratory’s accreditation is for two years. These accreditations reaffirm Moncement’s commitment to delivering top-quality products.
Industry Recognition
In celebration of the 95th anniversary of Mongolia's construction industry, Moncement was recognized as the Best Enterprise of 2021 and the Outstanding National Manufacturer and Entrepreneur Company of the Year by the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Our contributions include:
